Learned the art of the Kai School (Gai Jiaotian) in Peking Opera with his father since he was a child. Later, he was admitted and graduated from the National School of Chinese Theatre Arts (now known as the National Academy of Chinese Theatre Arts) and learned the art of the Northern School (Beijing School) from many experienced predecessors. Over the years, Zhou has spent a lot of his effort in military male role.
